The Listening Tree

Inspired by an ancient tree beside the billabong near my home, this painting is an exploration of quiet strength, resilience and wisdom. Through layers of colour and expressive marks, I sought to capture not just the tree itself, but the presence it holds—the sense that it has stood silently through generations, observing the changing landscape while remaining deeply rooted.

For me, this is a place of stillness and reflection. The painting invites you to pause, to breathe, and to experience the calm assurance that nature offers when we take the time to listen.
